When you enter a blog, the titles you see listed for the blog entries or posts are known as the blog entry titles.
Following configurations let you edit the blog entry title. Let’s learn about each one of these. Navigate to your website admin, browse to Appearance > Customize > Typography> Blog Entry Title
Set the Fonts for the Blog Entry Title
You can choose the font of your choice from the dozen of fonts including standard fonts, as well as all the Google fonts at a click of a button.
Just click over the drop-down menu underneath the “Font Family” in Blog Entry Title panel and choose from the variety of fonts available for you. What’s best is you can click over each one and live preview it to see how the blog entry title blends with your website.
Setting the Font Weights for Blog Entry Title
The font weight property is what will make a blog entry title to look bolder or thinner. Font weight is an HTML property that accepts numbers, usually from 100 to 900 with an increment of 100 in between each, 100 being thinnest and 900 being the boldest.
You don’t have to worry about any code. We have visually provided the following options that let you quickly set the font weight.
It’s important to note that the font needs to support the font weight to be able to use it; otherwise, you might see no change. Most fonts support at least a couple font weights.
Setting the Font Style for Blog Entry Title
You can choose to either follow a normal style or make your title italic. To do so, just click over the drop-down right beneath the “Font Style” label in Blog Entry Title panel and choose your desired setting.
Setting the Text Transform Property for Blog Entry Title
Text-transform is an HTML property that lets you transform your text in the following way
- It capitalizes the first letter of each word.
- It converts all the letters to lowercase
- It converts all the letters to uppercase
- It doesn’t do anything, keeps your text as it is just the way you have written it.
You can choose any of these four options by clicking over the drop-down underneath “Text Transform” in Blog Entry Title panel.
Changing the Font Size for Blog Entry Title
You can easily use the provided slider under the “Font Size (px)” label in Blog Entry Title panel to increase or decrease the text size. You will also be able to live preview to make your best judgment for what best suits your design and purpose.
You can choose to keep different font sizes for the desktop, tablet, and mobile. Simply click over the small gray color icon next to the label; it will expand it into three icons. First one is for the desktop font size, second for the tablet font size, and third for the mobile font size.
Changing the Line Height for Blog Entry Title
The line height is the vertical space (y-axis) between two lines. You can either increase or decrease the space to suit your design and needs.
You can use the slider under the “Line Height” label in Blog Entry Title panel to make the changes.
You get the same three icons, as discussed above (under Font Size) for setting different line height for desktop, tablets, and mobile.
Changing the Letter Spacing for Blog Entry Title
With letter spacing feature, you can increase or decrease the space in between font letters for the blog entry title.
You can easily use the slider under the “Letter Spacing (px)” label in Blog Entry Title to make changes to the letter spacing.
Changing the Text Color for Blog Entry Title
You can change the blog entry title text color site-wide just by clicking over “Select Color” button under the “Text Color” label in Blog Entry Title panel.
You can choose the text color of your choice and even live preview the colors to see whatever best suits your design and motives.
